Facebook Follows Suit with China in Censoring

Facebook appears to have begun censoring content in a manner reminiscent of the Chinese Government’s “Great Firewall”. A link to our blog post encouraging people to be proactive about their privacy settings was tagged as ”abusive”. We know that Mark Zuckerberg has been quoted as saying that he doesnt believe in it, but this is going a bit far. They even seem to be blocking attempted syndication of this blog with twitter and facebook via twitterfeed…

It begs to wonder, how can you not believe in privacy, yet censor posts at the same time? A quick google search for “facebook censoring” returns a plethora of examples of how this is taking place. Ironically, the ban has just been released and the post is no longer flagged as “abusive”…but syndication via twitterfeed is currently not working for some content.
