Upgrade laptop hard drive for client in Trumbull
Today we received an Acer Aspire 5520-5290 laptop which came with an 80 GB hard drive. As you know, the sizes of HDDs are getting bigger and bigger and with all of the media available for download today it’s easy to find yourself running out of space fast! In this Client’s case, they were not even able to run the update for their anti-virus software or even Vista Service Pack 2 (which also helps prevent viruses) due to the lack of space. Ouch!
We purchased a new hard drive for this client and picked up the machine in Trumbull. Using disk imaging software, we took a “snapshot” of the hard drive and pushed that onto the new, larger drive.
Voila! No programs to re-install, no hastles involved. Just a quick and easy way to upgrade space for all the music, movies, and pictures we love to download – or all the important documents and emails we need to keep safe.
Along the way we also found four viruses which caused damaged to the operating system which we repaired and ran the Vista Service Pack 2 – all complimentary for our client.
